Delete your data

Stop Oscar right away
Any of these stops Oscar from posting or reading anything more:
- In Oscar: turn the autopilot off in Settings, under each network.
- On Threads: Settings → Account → Website permissions → Oscar → Remove.
- On X: Settings → Security and account access → Apps and sessions → Connected apps → Oscar → Revoke app permissions. Or disconnect X in Oscar’s Settings, which also deletes Oscar’s records of your X posts and their numbers at once, except the few you chose at setup as having done well (they stay as the ideas they started until you ask us to delete them).
- On YouTube: in your Google Account, Security → Your connections to third-party apps and services → Oscar → Delete all connections. Oscar then deletes everything it kept from YouTube within 21 days. Or disconnect YouTube in Oscar’s Settings, which takes back its access and deletes Oscar’s records of your Shorts, their numbers and your subscriber counts at once.
- On Instagram: Settings → Apps and websites → Oscar → Remove.
- On TikTok: Settings and privacy → Security and permissions → Apps and services permissions → Oscar → Remove access. Or disconnect TikTok in Oscar’s Settings, which also takes back its access and deletes Oscar’s records of your videos, their numbers, your follower counts and your account details at once.
Delete everything
Email privacy@writeoscar.com from the address you sign in with, and tell us which brand or account the request is for. If you’re asking about a Threads or X account but don’t have an Oscar account, include its username.
We’ll confirm we received it within 3 business days and delete within 30 days:
- your account and your membership in each brand;
- everything you told Oscar: your brand profile, rules, feedback and conversations;
- everything Oscar received from Threads, X, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok: your profile details, posts (including the post history Oscar read when you set up or added X), their numbers, account insights and access tokens;
- the drafts, results and reports Oscar made from them;
- your own voice and your twin, if you made them, with the recordings they were made from: deleted at ElevenLabs and HeyGen too.
We’ll email you when it’s done. Backups are overwritten on a rolling schedule after that.
A brand that has never posted can also be deleted at once from Settings → Delete this brand, which deletes its voice and twin at ElevenLabs and HeyGen as well. Settings → Video also deletes either one on its own, at any time.
What we can’t delete for you
Posts Oscar published are on Threads, X, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube or TikTok under your account. Deleting your Oscar data doesn’t remove them; delete them on the platform if you want them gone.
