Oscar

Use Oscar in Claude and ChatGPT

Oscar’s MCP server · https://writeoscar.com/mcp

The short version.

  • Connect Oscar to Claude, ChatGPT or any app that speaks MCP, and ask about your accounts, have Oscar write posts from what you paste, and run your queue from the chat.
  • Everything Oscar writes from a chat lands in Saved. Your app asks you before anything changes what goes out, and every change can be undone in Oscar.
  • You choose the brands it works on and whether it may touch your queue, and you can disconnect it any time.

What you need

An Oscar account (start a 7-day free trial) with at least one of Threads, X or LinkedIn connected. Oscar reads from and writes for the brands you belong to.

Connect it

In Claude

  1. Open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector (or find Oscar in the directory).
  2. Paste https://writeoscar.com/mcp and add it.
  3. Sign in to Oscar when asked, choose the brands Claude may work on and whether it may change your queue, and select Allow.

In ChatGPT

  1. Open Settings → Apps and add an app with https://writeoscar.com/mcp.
  2. Sign in to Oscar and choose what it may do, as above.

Anywhere else

Any MCP client that supports remote servers with OAuth: the server is https://writeoscar.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP). It signs in with OAuth 2.1 and PKCE, registering itself by Dynamic Client Registration or a Client ID Metadata Document.

Things to ask

Where your app shows them, Oscar answers with cards: your week, a post being written and each network’s version, the queue.

What it can do

See what Oscar knows

Read only. These change nothing.

get_accountYour brands, each connected network with its followers and how Oscar posts there, and what goes out next.
get_performanceViews and followers on every network over the last days, each against the days before and your typical post, and your best posts.
what_worksOscar’s daily reviews: what’s working, what it’s testing next, the lessons that stand and patterns forming.
list_postsPosts that went out, newest or best first, with views and how each did against your typical post.
get_postOne post or draft in full, with its numbers over time, why Oscar chose it and what its fact check did.
list_upcomingWhat goes out in the next days on each network, and the open times.
list_savedPosts waiting in Saved.
list_topicsYour topics, how often each went out and when each can go again.
get_voiceHow you write, as Oscar measured it from your own posts.
get_leadsYour lead magnets with visits, leads and conversion. Counts only.

Write into Saved

Oscar writes; nothing goes out until you add it to the queue.

find_anglesThree angles on what you paste, each with how far it’s likely to reach. Nothing is written yet.
write_postWrites a post from what you paste (notes, a transcript, a doc, a link): each network’s version in your voice, through Oscar’s critic and fact check, into Saved.
write_angleWrites one of the angles find_angles returned.
rewrite_postRewrites a post not out yet along your note.
edit_postMakes an exact change you ask for to a post not out yet.
give_feedbackYour reaction or note on any post. Oscar’s writers learn from it.
add_ruleA standing rule every one of Oscar’s writers follows from the next post.

Change the queue

These change what goes out in public, so your app asks you before each one.

add_to_queuePuts a saved post into a time, after checking it can go then.
post_nowPosts one post now, with the same checks as Post now in Oscar.
move_postMoves a post to another time, or trades times with another post.
take_outTakes a post out of its time, back to Saved or turned down.
pause_postingPauses Oscar on one network or all of them.
resume_postingResumes it: Autopilot only where you turned it on in Oscar.
undoUndoes a change made from the chat in the last day.

What it never does

Permissions, and disconnecting

When you connect, you choose the brands and whether the app may change your queue (and post when you ask). Oscar keeps a record of every change an app makes, with Undo for a day (a post that has gone out can’t be undone), in Settings → MCP, where you can also disconnect an app. See the privacy policy for what goes to a connected app and what Oscar keeps.
